Android Spyware & Stalkerware Scanner

Run a free, on-device check against known spyware and stalkerware lists. No SIMGUARD account is required—and the page tells you what a scan can and cannot prove.

A clean result is not a guarantee. Unknown, modified, or account-level monitoring may not appear in a known-list scan.

Covert monitoring risk

What spyware and stalkerware can do

Monitoring apps can be used to collect location, messages, call information, keystrokes, media, or other activity. Capabilities vary, and some apps hide behind ordinary names or abuse powerful Android permissions.

Warning signs are not proof

  • Battery drain or data use that changed without an obvious cause
  • An app, accessibility service, device administrator, or permission you do not recognize
  • A phone that runs hot or behaves unexpectedly while idle
  • Someone knowing private details, locations, or conversations they should not know
  • Settings changing after another person had physical access to the device

Many ordinary problems cause the same symptoms. Investigate carefully rather than assuming a specific person or app is responsible.

How the Free Spyware Check works

SIMGUARD evaluates Android app and package signals on the device, then compares them with known spyware and stalkerware entries. The result is a security signal, not a forensic conclusion.

Known-list check

Looks for apps and packages associated with known spyware and stalkerware lists.

On-device analysis

The check is designed to run locally instead of requiring a SIMGUARD account or password.

Clear next steps

If something is flagged, review the app, its permissions, and your safety context before acting.

Personal-safety note

Do not remove suspected stalkerware without considering safety

Removing or changing a monitored phone can alert the person who installed the software. It may also destroy evidence. If an abusive partner, stalker, or other person could react dangerously, use a safer device they cannot access before seeking help.

The Coalition Against Stalkerware survivor guidance explains safety planning and support options. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services when it is safe to do so.

Android Spyware & Stalkerware FAQ

What does the free Android spyware scan check?

SIMGUARD Free compares installed-app and package signals against known spyware and stalkerware lists on the Android device.

Do battery drain or data spikes prove stalkerware is installed?

No. Those signs can have ordinary causes. They are reasons to investigate, not proof that monitoring software is present.

Should I immediately remove suspected stalkerware?

Not always. Removal can alert the person who installed it or destroy evidence. If personal safety may be involved, use a safer device to seek qualified support before changing the suspected phone.
